As part of my 3rd year Scripting & Dynamics module I created a storm simulation and accompanying control script which runs in AutoDesk Maya.
The storm simulation consists of a pre-built environment with several objects set-up for use with an accompanying script which I created using the Python programming language. The tool allows the user to set-up different variables which control wind speed, intensity and visibility. Additional features such as a day-night control and the ability to turn components off completely are also included.
While the simulation is quite basic and not based on real life physics, the tool is more suited to pre-visualisation and animation purposes.
